Our Classes

Stage 1

Stage 1

Our stage one class is ideal for those nervous beginners. Our teachers are based in the water to help build basic water confidence and give that extra reassurance to each individual. All lessons are extremely fun and enjoyable with the aim on building basic water control and confidence. With a maximum of only five children per class each child is given a lot of personal attention in order to really progress.

Stage 2

Stage 2

Stage two is for our swimmers that have now progressed on from needing support aids and can swim five metres on either their front or back. All our teachers are based in the water to aid in nervousness and still provide that extra support.

Stage 3

Stage 3

Stage threes are now consistent with their breathing and are progressing towards breathing laterally with an arm over recovery. These lessons are both fun yet productive. Each swimmer is introduced to new strokes such as breaststroke and basic dolphin kicking.

Stage 4

Stage 4

From our competitive backgrounds, now is where our swimmers are taught basic competitive techniques such as tumble turns and diving. We have always stuck by a strong principal that the earlier they master these techniques, the more they can adapt and progress when they’re older. Children are more confident at a younger age so introducing these techniques now helps rule out any later fear that can develop.

Stage 5

Stage 5

All four strokes are covered including Butterfly. Basic survival techniques are introduced including treading water and shouting for help.

Stages 6 and 7

Stage 6-7

Fine tuning all of their four strokes and fully introducing them to competitive events such as an ‘Individual Medley’ and racing starts. Tumble turns on all four strokes and individual medley are fully introduced. Survival practises are progressed and swimmers are fully aware of their personal survival protocol.

Pre-Club 1

Pre-club 1

This class is hugely popular with the advanced swimmers who have mastered all of the four strokes and have finished their learn to swim programs. Our pre-club one class now takes technique up a level by adapting each child’s bodies to becoming as streamline as possible in order to propel themselves faster through the water. Swimmers are introduced to a number of techniques used in competitive environments, such as :- Warm up stretches, Advanced start, turn and finish practise on each stroke, sprint, interval and endurance swimming, timed swims, Gala race protocol.

Pre-Club 2

Pre-club 2 (2)

Our pre-club two takes what they have already learnt from the pre-club one and takes it up another level. They are introduced to very complex swimming drills, Heart rate taking, different sets set by the coach that really enhance speed, power and endurance. Each swimmer is fully prepared to feed into a competitive swimming club if they wish to do so.
